Our 4 Kg Cast Iron Kettlebell represents Legio IV Macedonica ("Macedonian Fourth Legion"), which was a legion of the Imperial Roman army founded in 48 BC by Gaius Julius Caesar (dictator of Rome 49–44 BC) with Italian legionaries. The Legion was disbanded in AD 70 by Emperor Vespasian. The legion symbols were a bull (as with all of Caesar's legions) and a Capricorn.

This Kettlebell is part of our dedication to the Roman legions. The Roman army was organized, structured, and well trained, enabling them to rule over most parts of the known world. While utilitarian by design, the Roman numeral system did not deter the Romans from using it in everyday life and construction. These numerals represent an essential step in the development of Western Civilisation.
